After being featured in some of the most important tours worldwide for many years, the X-5 has become a “classic”. It was the first true LED alternative to traditional xenon-lamp strobes, and the first luminaire with three controllable pixel segments. The high-performance rectangular heat sink of the X-5 allows this unit to output an impressive performance with only W power consumption. It is a robust, state-of-the-art LED fixture that creates unique effects never delivered before by a strobe.

LED Technology
The X-5 mounts 2,970 high-power SMD white LEDs to create a powerful wide-angle strobe effect. This lightweight luminaire delivers a pure white 5700K with flicker-free operation. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.

Pixel control
The X-5 offers the powerful feature of individual pixel control. It is possible to control three different white vertical segments via DMX channels, in order to generate creative effects such as big strobe arrays. For large-scale stages, this feature really makes a difference because of the long size of each pixel.

High-speed feedback
One of the reasons for X-5 to be a great reference for lighting designers is the very good and fast feedback while using high rates and duration values. Unlike traditional strobes, the X-5 does not need to decrease the output to minimum levels after an intense use of strobe effects.

DMX modes
The X-5 can be operated in five different DMX modes. In the 7-channel legacy mode, the X-5 uses intensity, duration and rate parameters but also individual control over the three pixel segments and an effect macro channel that takes priority over the duration parameter.

Thermal management
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, this bright and accurate luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM’s unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminum alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion while the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions (such as variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc.).

Mounting options
The X-5 can be rigged by using one or two easy-fit omega brackets with ¼ turn fasteners. It also includes a basic floor stand to increase stability, while allowing the users to access the omega locking points easily. Multiple X-5 units can be rigged in optional BCC-2 and BCC-4 brackets.
