The P-1 is a versatile RGBW wash with full wireless operation, designed to match the requirements of corporate productions, broadcast applications, wedding receptions, staging, and events. To further enhance its versatility, available unique magnetic holographic filters allow the P-1 to modify its beam angle depending on the application, while the onboard Lithium-Ion battery pack provides for extended run times without recharge, eliminating the need of cables or mains power. LED Technology
The P-1 luminaire employs 8 high-power 12.5W RGBW LEDs, divided into two vertical, individually controllable segments. The P-1 includes 2000K - 10000K CTC color temperature control, with 16bit control over dimming and RGBW pixels. A powerful shutter and accurate color calibration provides the means for the P-1 to match the same colors available in the fixtures from the P, Q, and i series. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours.
Battery and wired operation
As a 100% wireless wash light, the P-1 offers a vast array of options for setups. However, the P-1 may also be wired, with or without batteries. The battery capacity of the P-1 is configurable up to 24 hours, and it only requires 3.5 hours to be recharged to 75%. The battery status may be monitored remotely via RDM or via the built-in OLED display. When connected to mains power, the P-1 only requires 70W.
Magnetic holographic filters
The P-1 can be operated as a powerful 10º wash natively, but also as a flexible luminaire through the use of available optional low-loss holographic filters. With this magnetic set of spread angle filters, it is possible to modify the aperture of the beam angle to achieve a seamless medium spread of 19º, a powerful wide diffusion at 45º, or a versatile elliptical effect in horizontal (63º/12º) or vertical (12º/63º). An empty magnetic frame is also available for the usage of custom color filters or diffusers.
Set, theatrical, and studio features
The P-1 was originally conceived as a theatre set and studio luminaire. This silent running wash fixture does not require active ventilation due to its passive cooling facilities. It is a very powerful fixture for low-noise environments. The P-1 base includes rubber feet, enabling it to be placed on delicate floor surfaces without special care. Finally, the P-1 may be ordered with optional easy-fit 4-way or 8-way barndoors to eliminate undesired light bleed in theatres or studios.
Pixel mapping
Two individually controllable LED segments are incorporated into the P-1. The DMX selection allows users to control the Red, Green, Blue, and White LEDs for each vertical segment, both in 8bit and 16bit modes. This is a very interesting feature, providing the ability to operate the P-1 as a "direct view" fixture for pixel mapping special effects design and programming.
IP rating
The durable IP65-rating of the P-1 luminaire ensures that the fixture is kept free from externally induced particles and liquids on internal optics and light sources, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free, makes it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for both outdoor as well as indoor events and installations.
Dehumidification
The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification not only removes humidity but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks. Thermal management
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, this bright and accurate luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM’s unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminum alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion while the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions (such as variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc.).

Mounting options
The P-1 may be ordered with or without batteries for use in wired mode. The battery pack may be ordered separately and added later when the need arises. In any case, the P-1 can be mounted onto the ceiling, in a rig, or in a wall-mount. The unit includes one omega bracket with two 1/4 turn locking points. Optional barndoors and magnetic filters are available. The P-1 is Kensington lock compatible and there is an optional anti-theft protection available for long-term installations.

This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. SGM's predictive color mixing algorithm compesates the decay levels of color-based LEDs for superior color rendering. Finally, the ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture's lifetime.
TruColorTM
SGM uses Full Range Calibration in all LED fixtures over CIE space and black body curve, measured via spectrometer and SGM Illumination Lab software. The consistency of each product and its lifetime expectancy is monitored throught inbuilt sensors to compensate color shifting and to allow color temperature re-calibration. To provide the best user experience, SGM's Color Match procedure ensures accurate wavelength reproduction within the product range via colored LEDs, dichroic filters, or CMY mixing (depending on the product); all of them specified to match the SGM color palette.
