The S-4 Fresnel is an accurate and fully calibrated LED light with superb color mixing and very low power consumption; ideal for the broadcast, theatrical, and stage industry, where high quality lighting is essential. The S-4 Fresnel comprises red, green, blue, amber, and mint LEDs that mix directly in the light source. The optical system is designed to deliver not only a staggering output but also a perfect color mix with a completely even field.

LED Technology
This lightweight and compact LED luminaire provides color-consistent 0-100% dimming control to achieve the intensity required, with the side benefit of energy and cost savings. Amber and Mint LEDs are added to its RGB color mixing in order to achieve a balanced color spectrum and perfect whites in camera. The LEDs expected lifetime is 50,000 hours and maximum power consumption is 150W.
Colors
Hue, tint, tone, and intensity are fully tunable and can be seamlessly adjusted from 2000K - 10000K, with the addition of plus/minus green and individual raw colors. This ensures the uniformity of light and single shadow rendition, while also obtaining a perfect match between the RGBAM colors of the luminaire and the onsite production and environment. All these modes can be adjusted via a manual 4-knob control panel integrated in the base of the luminaire.
Optics
Equipped with a hand-made glass Fresnel lens, the optical system is designed to obtain the maximum brightness between 15º and 18º, but allowing the user to perform a tight 10.4º beam at spot position and an impressive 76.6º field angle in flood. The fixture outputs the same versatility that can be expected in a regular fresnel luminaire, with defined and diffuse shadows depending on the selected beam angle. An optional 112º micro-fresnel interchangeable front lens transform the S-4 into a powerful PC-like LED luminaire on stage.
Accessories
S-4 Fresnel accessories include rotating 4-way barndoors for accurate lighting cuts, magnetic top hat, interchangeable micro-fresnel front lens for higher output, and different mounting brackets. The S-4 Fresnel is also available with a LumenRadio wireless receiver included, to allow remote DMX and RDM control.
IP rating
The durable IP65-rating of the S-4 Fresnel luminaire ensures that the fixture is kept free of externally induced particles and liquids on internal optics and light sources, such as smoke fluid, dust, dirt, airborne pollution, and humidity. Thereby, the need to clean optics is eliminated and no internal corrosion will occur. It is ideal for outdoor applications, while being practically maintenance-free making it a sustainable and long-lasting choice for indoor events and installations as well.
Dehumidification
The internal built-in dehumidifier protects this fixture from moisture, pollution and any other factors that can generate corrosion. The patented SGM dehumidification not only removes humidity but also prevents oxidation and condensation, while a gore-tex membrane equalizes internal pressure to prevent leaks. Photometrics
The S-4 Fresnel is the first IP65 Fresnel LED light capable of a CRI > , TLCI > , CQS > , and Rf > . Its brightest performance comes at 7,000K with 7265 lumen, while maintaining a high output and consistent chromaticity at 5,600K and 3,200K. The interchangeable micro-fresnel front lens expands the capabilities further by increasing lux values substantially. It also includes linear color control from 2000K - 10000K.
Color emulation
The Macro DMX channel in the S-4 Fresnel includes 91 color presets based on the LEE catalogue, plus/minus Green control, Congo Blue and Deep Red enhancers, RAW control of Amber and Mint LEDs, a simulation of the 14 color-wheel positions used in G-1 Beam, and CCW / CW color scrolls with linear speed increase.
Smooth dimming, color changing and zoom
In addition to the accurate and smooth dimming curves designed by SGM, the 16-bit RGB and Intensity control ensures a high-quality dimming and color mixing. The motorized zoom of the S-4 Fresnel was also created to move smoothly through the entire range. To achieve maximum performance, the user can also select “optimized beam narrow” and “optimized beam wide” thresholds in the Function DMX channel.
Thermal management
To achieve optimum performance of the LEDs at all times, this bright and accurate luminaire is optimized to manage heat impact through SGM’s unique thermal management technology. The technology consists of a uniquely designed body and heat sink, which ensures optimal cooling of the LED chips. Additionally, the special aluminum alloy and surface treatment ensures maximum heat dispersion while the fan-assisted cooling ensures optimal performance at any time and under any conditions (such as variable temperatures, limited airflows, confined installation spaces, etc.).

Mounting options
The S-4 Fresnel can be orientated in any position and it is very easy to manipulate. Because of its integrated base plate with 4 rubber feet and 2 x ¼ turn locking points, the S-4 Fresnel can be rigged with just one omega bracket and it can also be positioned in delicate floors. With a weight of less than 6.95Kg (15.3 lbs), it’s perfect for both big productions as well as small theatres and motion-picture shootings. An optional 28mm spigot can be ordered for tripod. All accessories are delivered with safety wires.

ThermalDriveTM
This thermal management techonology provides Advaced Temperature Control monitored via sensors and software, keeping optimal LED junction temperatures, and ensuring maximum reliability for long-term use. SGM's predictive color mixing algorithm compesates the decay levels of color-based LEDs for superior color rendering. Finally, the ThermalDriveTM system includes cutting-edge heat removal via passive thermal tecniques and active forced-air cooling (depending on the product), specifically designed to maintain LED efficiency while extending fixture's lifetime.
TruColorTM
SGM uses Full Range Calibration in all LED fixtures over CIE space and black body curve, measured via spectrometer and SGM Illumination Lab software. The consistency of each product and its lifetime expectancy is monitored throught inbuilt sensors to compensate color shifting and to allow color temperature re-calibration. To provide the best user experience, SGM's Color Match procedure ensures accurate wavelength reproduction within the product range via colored LEDs, dichroic filters, or CMY mixing (depending on the product); all of them specified to match the SGM color palette.
DryTechTM
SGM's integrated patented Dehumidification process eliminates humidity and breaks down corrosive molecules deriving from polluted air to avoid destructive corrosion. Inbuilt dehumidifiers constantly remove trapped hydrogen from inside of the lighting fixture in a solid estate electrolytic process with no moving parts. The DryTechTM procedure is also based on a Ingress Protection rating of 65 or 66 (depending on the fixture), intended as a full protection against dust and other particles, while ensuring protection against direct water jets.
